Reevo Electric Bicycle Attracts Interest with Its Design
After four years of development by Beno Technologies, the Reevo Electric Bike has been released. Presented Reevo holds promise for future electric bikes with its design and features.
We have seen electric bicycles in different designs and features today. The folding bike HiMo H1, Smacircle S1 and inflatable electric bike Poimo differed in terms of design by being portable. Introduced at the Web Summit 2019, the NIU Aero EB-01, the Cowboy that provides the motor-assisted acceleration, and the electric juggernaut MDV with double front wheels were bringing innovations to the electric bicycle category. The Reevo electric bike, developed by Beno Technologies and attracting attention with its futuristic design, looks almost out of science fiction movies.
Design and safety together
Beno Technologies defines the Reevo as the electric bike of the future with its aesthetic design. The wheel body without wires distinguishes it from other bicycles with the positioning of the lights and the fingerprint sensor lock.
Designed for urban use, the bike has a three-stage security system. Thanks to the fingerprint reader on the handlebars, the user can customize the bike only for his own use. In addition, thanks to the padlock, it is possible to take physical security measures. However, with the GPS tracking system, the whereabouts of the bike can be seen instantly on the phone.
Wheels without hub
The wheel moves on a bearing along the fixed rim. It offers an eye-pleasing approach in terms of design. However, there are question marks in the technical aspects of the business. While the hollow partition is nice for alternative options such as storage space, it can create problems with stability. While the rotation of the wheels around an axle provides a light and robust solution, the maintenance of the bicycle can be difficult because the entire system of the Reevo’s wheels remains in the bed. However, steering the bike can become more problematic. Still, Beno Technologies claims the electric bike is maintenance-free. In such a case, the wheels will stand out only in terms of design and a flawless job will be achieved.
Reevo in pre-sale
The Reevo, which comes with a 48-volt battery, is fully charged in three hours. However, the company does not share any information about the period of use. The electric bike will have a 750-watt motor in the US version and a 250-watt motor in the European version. LED lights mounted on the sides of the front and rear wheels offer an aesthetic approach in terms of appearance. Lights turn on automatically when it gets dark or when entering a dark environment.
Reevo, which was the result of nearly four years of development, went on sale a few weeks ago. It attracted a lot of attention with its discounted pre-sale price of $ 1,899. However, there are also those who are sceptical about the brake system and other equipment, especially the rimless wheel. The absence of third-party tests and reviews is also questionable. Despite all this, it attracts attention with its different approach to electric bicycle design.
